It's that time of year again

This year is a little different. In years past, people have asked me about my plans for Christmas and I had some relatively clear idea of what was going on that I passed on to them. Visiting family, good food, stuff like that.

This year, with Dylan's birthday on Friday, people have been asking me what our plans are, or what we're getting for him, and I just go completely blank. For me, right now, life doesn't exist after Saturday (his party). I know we have plans, and I know we have gifts for him, but I just don't think much about anything beyond his birthday party right now. I know what he's getting for his birthday, and I know what's going on for his party. And I'm pretty sure there's going to be a day after that. But beyond that, I'm not really clear.

Luckily, I've got plenty of time to figure it out. When I get back from the doctor's office (where I am right now), I'll work a half day from home, but then I have the rest of this week off. So let's just call this pajama week, ok? I may even shower a few times.

  1. :) Its crazy season, for sure. And you can certainly sort out what happens after Saturday, after Saturday!

    Hooray for Pajama Week!

  2. Hope you're funning it up at home. Might be a little more comfy with heat but hopefully the degrees won't drop enough to leave you hanging. Enjoy some time off and hopefully not too much of it banging away on the keyboard! Enjoyed the visit even it it fellt all too short. I don't think I could get enough of all of you even if you lived next door (even if that would mean you get more than enough of me!). Thanks again for coming.

Have fun Thursday with all the family. Sorry I can't be there. Would like a picture of Ken holding Dylan if possible and another of just you and your brothers. Thanks!

Dylan's elephant calls are so precious! Do you have him doing that on video? I really wish I had some video of you doing your "monster" imitation as a baby. A compilation of Dylan's signs would be really cool!
