Breakfast at Huckabee's

When I was in grade school, my parents urged me to join the cub scouts. Probably just to get me out of the house and some peace and quiet for themselves… but that is another story altogether. I joined the cub scouts, and found it was something I really enjoyed doing. Before I knew it I was a wolf, bobcat, bear, and weebelo. Soon I got to move up and become a real boy scout. I felt like I was on top of the world. I mean, now I get to crap in the woods and play with knives and fire! Every boy's dream! Life doesn't get any better! Scouting was something that stuck with me throughout my teenage years. Camping and brotherhood being the two things I loved most about it. It took a little pushing towards the end when I was tiring of all the work necessary to make the leap from Life to Eagle, but I did it. I had been a member of no less than 5 Boy Scout Troops, and I was awarded my Eagle Scout rank during my freshman year of college. (I completed the requirements just under the 18-year-old wire, and had my ceremony later.) My name is on a plaque of Eagle Scouts from Troop 817, from Salisbury Maryland. So is Matt Robins. Matt is about my age, and still hails from Salisbury. He made Eagle around the same time as me, too. You may have heard of Matt Robins, especially if you support or follow Mike Huckabee. Because Matt and a friend of his wrote a song parody about supporting Huckabee. It's become so popular that they were asked to perform before Huckabee's speeches to the GOP Primary this Saturday. I don't support Huckabee, but I think the song is brilliant. Definitely go check it out! They have other Huckabee-related songs, too.

Its the stick-to-it-ive-ness from scouts that helps you guys be as successful as you are :)
