Inspired by an email from Megan's grandfather, we decided to take a little devious twist with our Christmas lights this year…

That's what I had for lunch yesterday. Disgusting looking, isn't it? (Pardon the picture quality, it was an afterthought and taken with my iPhone.) I even tweeted that if I didn't know what was in it, I never would have put it in my mouth.

What we have here is Gnocchi in a Pesto-based sauce, with sun-dried tomatoes and ricotta cheese on top. You know how much I love tomatoes… but I have to say they went perfectly in this dish. There was a certain sweetness between the gnocchi, pesto, and cheese, and the tomatoes really rounded it out with a bit of salt and a punch of flavor.

For the record, I had lunch at Penne, at The Inn at Penn, and even though I didn't pay for it this time, I would gladly pay for it next time.

I've been meaning to post these pictures for a while. Here it is, the long-awaited patio.

I'm sure I've got some with our new patio furniture around somewhere… hopefully I'll add those to the set soon.
